| “ The C.Scope CS 1220 XD has been designed for professional treasure hunters.
We've taken a detector design which has delivered an outstanding success
record for 25 years and then added power and versatility made possible by
the most modern digital electronics “
Detector advertisements seem to suggest
that it is the metal detector which finds the treasure! We would like to
tell you something which regularly successful detectorists have known all
along.... It is you, your experience, and the way you use your metal detector
which gets results! Of course you need a top class detector, one that you
can get along with, and the CS 1220 XD gives you just that..... at a very
sensible price.

The reason why committed CS 1220 XD users would not swap for anything else
lies in the way this metal
detector operates as an extension of the senses. Professional metal detector
users understand the need to balance the three aspects of detector operation
- sensitivity, ground effect and discrimination - the CS 1220 XD does all
this in an extremely effective, user friendly way.

| Tone, Sensitivity and Discrimination controls
Allows the user to input his personal preference for tuning threshold, sensitivity
and discrimination level against worthless items. The three operating modes
described below. offer a unique combination of search possibilities.
The "GD 1 & GD 2" modes.
allows the user to search at maximum depth for all metals and discriminate
after. Deep treasure enthusiasts listen up! Go over all your old sites again
with the CS 1220 XD in 'GROUND' setting and see what new comes up.
The 1220
target analysis system delivers more information at the press of a button.
When a target is located press the "DISC" button
and alter the metal discrimination scale control to determine your target.
The non-motion operating system favours a steady methodical approach which,
as all long time successful detectorists will confirm, is the only way to get
consistent results.

The "METER
SEARCH" mode.
This is seriously clever stuff. It's as if the 'eyes and ears' of the metal
detector are extended for maximum information from underground. It's like
having two metal detectors in one. The audio side of the detector is operating
in maximum depth 'G' mode but on the visual side, the indicator meter, is
giving information about the desirability of the target!
"
METER & AUDIO" mode.
This is how the real professionals use a 1220 - maximum target information
registered on the audio spectrum. The intelligent CS 1220 XD allocates higher
pitched sounds to valuable objects and lower pitched sounds to undesirable
targets. Also the meter gives target information and distance estimation.
You listen for the right sound that means treasure underfoot. What

Anybody
who has been around the hobby for a while will know about the 1220 concept.
This brilliant detector design was first created by C.Scope engineers more
than 20 years ago. Since then, the machine has been upgraded several times,
providing more performance and more user friendly features at each model
change.
The unique 1220 has become the firm favorite of truly professional
detectorists all over Europe... and when the big finds hit the headlines
just look how often the 1220 is the machine of choice. Cliff
Bradshaw found in UK a gold cup valued at 250,000 British pounds with his
1220! Now, the culmination of that success story is the CS 1220 XD, a sharp, extremely
high performance, lightweight metal detector which will impress everyone, amateur
and professional, whatever machine they are using now.
The reason why the 1220 is magic in skilled hands lies in the way the machine
operates as an extension of the senses. Users of the CS 1220 XD metal detector
report that they can read its signals and analyze what they see and hear to gain
their own, highly accurate impression of what metal objects lie under the ground.
A lot of detectors on the market today are so called 'MOTION' metal detectors,
simple to use but you have to keep the search head moving, quite quickly in some
cases, to enable the electronics to work properly.
That motion aspect can encourage the user to work too fast and miss important
signals altogether. Another problem with conventional motion metal detectors
is that the electronics makes the discrimination decisions so that you get
no signal at all on targets which the machine considers to be rubbish or, the
machine
will tell you, often wrongly, on the screen what it considers the target to
be. On some "MOTION" metal
detectors, there is a pinpoint button, to put them into a "non -motion" mode, but for a limited time (for as long the button is pressed) and no metal
discrimination.
None of that with the 1220! it's a non-motion machine which favors a methodical,
steady search technique where you can proceed at your own speed. That's the way
to search an area of ground properly. And the 1220 audio discrimination feature
allocates higher pitched sounds to valuable objects and lower pitched sounds
to undesirable targets. You search along at a steady pace. Every target gives
you a signal but your ears tell you what to dig. With the 1220 you might even
say “the best just got even better!”
